Wells Fargo is an old veteran of the world of finance, with has a history harking back to the time of stage coaches.  Today, Wells Fargo offers a broad variety of financial services.  Therefore, those of us here at CD Interest Rates Info thought it would be a good idea to review the current Wells Fargo CD rates.

Essentially, Wells Fargo Bank has two kinds of CDs: Wells Fargo Standard CDs and Wells Fargo Special Offer CDs.  In our research we looked at the Wells Fargo CD interest rates for each type of certificate of deposit.  We checked the Wells Fargo Bank CD Rates in several states, and looked at CDs with different level of minimum deposits required.

To put it nicely, the CD rates at Wells Fargo Bank were not the best CD rates that we have come across.  In fact, the highest CD rates at Wells Fargo Bank had an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 2.90 percent.  That ranks among the lowest CD rates that we have discussed on this blog.

CD rates can change quickly and vary by location, so you may find different rates and terms for your area — or hopefully Wells Fargo will raise their rates soon! So, be sure to check the Wells Fargo online banking site to check out the rates and terms available in your town.
