Bank of America is one of the leading banks in the US today and they operate in numerous locations across the country. They offer four different kinds of CDs, mainly to meet the investment requirements of their customers. The four kinds of CDs are High Yield CD, Risk Free CD, Opt-Up CD and standard term CD. The High Yield CD helps to increase the interest earned from the investment provided the investor can lock in the money for a certain period of time. A minimum of $5,000 is required to open the CD and it has to be for a 12-month term. The current CD interest rates on this kind of CD is 0.90% APY.

The Risk Free CD option offered by Bank of America combines a savings account and a CD to give investors good return on investment as well as a good degree of flexibility. The main advantage of this kind of CD is that one can withdraw the money before the end of the term period. A minimum deposit of $5,000 is required with a maximum cap of $500,000. The term is usually 9 months and the Bank of America CD rates on this option is 0.45%. The Opt-Up CD helps investors to take advantage of interest rates as they increase. The term period is 18 months and one can invest anywhere between $10,000 and $250,000. The Bank of America CD rates on this CD is 1.10% APY. The last Bank of America Certificate of Deposit is the Standard Term CD which offers 1.35% APY. These are some of the best CD rates in the market today.

Here at CD Interest Rates Info, we try to keep you up to date on what’s going on with the latest in top CD interest rates. When we last looked at Jumbo CD interest rates, they were holding steady at a good pace. Now it’s time for an update and (hopefully) some good news.

1 Year Term Jumbo CD Rates
For this term, Umbrella Bank has a 2.10% APY offer. MetLife Bank has a 2.00% APY and State Bank of India (NY) has a 1.96% APY. Discover Bank, AIG Bank, and Ally Bank all have a 1.90% APY offer as well.

3 Year Term Jumbo Certificate of Deposit Rates
For this term, Flagstar Direct has a 2.97% APY and First Internet Bank of Indiana has a 2.65% APY. State Bank of India (NY) has a 2.63% while Discover Bank has a 2.60% APY offer. USAA, Ally Bank, and Aurora Bank all have a 2.55% APY offer as well.

5 Year Term Jumbo CD Interest Rates
For this popular long term, the top CD interest rates are at State Bank of India (NY) with a 3.39% APY, but Discover Bank isn’t far behind with a 3.35% APY. First Internet Bank of Indiana has a 3.30% APY and Intervest National Bank has a 3.27% APY. OneWest Bank has a 3.20% APY as does E-Loan.

There are definitely a lot of great Jumbo CD rates to look at now. All banks listed are FDIC insured. Remember that the FDIC insures up to $250,000 in deposits until January 1, 2013. So if your Jumbo certificate of deposit rates expire before then, they are fully covered up to that dollar figure.

We haven’t looked at CD interest rates and GMAC Bank CD offers in a while, so we here at CD Interest Rates Info thought we should do that and bring you up to date on what’s happening with GMAC interest rates.

GMAC Bank has changed its name to Ally Bank, though GMAC Finance is still under the same name for auto loans. The CD rates at GMAC Bank have been the best in the nation for a long time and continue to be so now with great offers in GMAC interest rates given.

For the best offer now, the No Penalty CD has GMAC Bank CD rates of 1.60% annual percentage yield (APY) for a 9 month term. This offer has no minimum deposit requirements and no fees attached. A great way to get in on CD rates at GMAC Bank.

Standard offers are good as well, of course. GMAC CD rates on 3 month terms are 1.15% APY, 1.50% APY on six months, and 2.00% on 12 and 18 month terms. Excellent GMAC interest rates there.

For 2 years, the GMAC Bank CD rates are 2.25% APY, 2.70% APY for 3 years, and 2.85% APY for four years. Finally, a five year term nets CD interest rates of 3.35% APY.

Definitely some good offers and nationally-leading CD interest rates on that list. GMAC Bank CD offers are subject to change at any time, of course. GMAC (Ally) is fully FDIC insured. If any of these GMAC Bank CD offers appeal to you, lock yours in today.

We haven’t looked at Ally Bank CD rates here at CD Interest Rates Info since Ally was still commonly called GMAC Bank and the new name hadn’t sunk in yet. It’s time once again to update you on Ally CD interest rates.

There are two basic CD type sat Ally Bank: Classic and No Penalty. The No Penalty comes in only one term, which is 9 months at 1.90% annual percentage yield (APY). This account allows the owner to close it at any time and withdraw funds during the term with no penalty.

The other Ally CD interest rates are found in the standard accounts. GMAC was always competitive and Ally CD rates continue that trend.

A 3 month term gives a 1.10% APY and a 6 month term gives 1.60% APY. 12 or 18 months has a 2.00% APY and 2 years a 2.25% APY. The CD rates at Ally Bank continue with 3 years giving 2.70% APY and 4 years 2.85% APY. Five years finishes it out with Ally CD interest rates at 3.25% APY.

All of these Ally Bank CD rates require no minimum deposit to open, have no fees attached (unless it’s a standard CD and you withdraw early). All interest compounds daily. These compare to teh current 1.75% and 1.70% APY variable rates on Ally savings and money market accounts right now.

All accounts at Ally are FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. If any of these Ally CD interest rates appeal to you, lock yours in quickly. Rates change often and the best Ally CD rates will change soon.
