Bank of America is one of the leading banks in the US today and they operate in numerous locations across the country. They offer four different kinds of CDs, mainly to meet the investment requirements of their customers. The four kinds of CDs are High Yield CD, Risk Free CD, Opt-Up CD and standard term CD. The High Yield CD helps to increase the interest earned from the investment provided the investor can lock in the money for a certain period of time. A minimum of $5,000 is required to open the CD and it has to be for a 12-month term. The current CD interest rates on this kind of CD is 0.90% APY.

The Risk Free CD option offered by Bank of America combines a savings account and a CD to give investors good return on investment as well as a good degree of flexibility. The main advantage of this kind of CD is that one can withdraw the money before the end of the term period. A minimum deposit of $5,000 is required with a maximum cap of $500,000. The term is usually 9 months and the Bank of America CD rates on this option is 0.45%. The Opt-Up CD helps investors to take advantage of interest rates as they increase. The term period is 18 months and one can invest anywhere between $10,000 and $250,000. The Bank of America CD rates on this CD is 1.10% APY. The last Bank of America Certificate of Deposit is the Standard Term CD which offers 1.35% APY. These are some of the best CD rates in the market today.

HSBC CD Rates

Post from: CD Interest Rates Info

HSBC is not only the largest banking organization in the world, HSBC is actually the biggest company in the world. So, we here at CD Interest Rates Info thought we should take a look at HSBC CD Rates to see how they compare with other certificates of deposit currently being offered.

Unfortunately, HSBC bank CD rates are far from being the best CD rates that we have run across. In fact, only 2 of the HSBC Online CD rates has an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) over 2.00 percent.

The HSBC 1 year plus 1 day CD earns an APY of 2.25 percent, and honestly is just not anywhere near the highest CD rates that we have seen for a 12 month CD. The HSBC 6 month CD earns an APY of 2.75 percent, which is a bit more respectable — especially considering that this is a short-term CD. Both of these HSBC certificates of deposit require a minimum investment of $1,000.00.

So, with the exception of the HSBC 6 month CD, we were not that impressed with these CD rates at HSBC bank. Please be sure to look at the HSBC online banking web site to confirm the rates and terms available in your area, as CD rates and terms can vary by location and change with time.

Wells Fargo CD Rates

Post from: CD Interest Rates Info

Wells Fargo is an old veteran of the world of finance, with has a history harking back to the time of stage coaches. Today, Wells Fargo offers a broad variety of financial services. Therefore, those of us here at CD Interest Rates Info thought it would be a good idea to review the current Wells Fargo CD rates.

Essentially, Wells Fargo Bank has two kinds of CDs: Wells Fargo Standard CDs and Wells Fargo Special Offer CDs. In our research we looked at the Wells Fargo CD interest rates for each type of certificate of deposit. We checked the Wells Fargo Bank CD Rates in several states, and looked at CDs with different level of minimum deposits required.

To put it nicely, the CD rates at Wells Fargo Bank were not the best CD rates that we have come across. In fact, the highest CD rates at Wells Fargo Bank had an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 2.90 percent. That ranks among the lowest CD rates that we have discussed on this blog.

CD rates can change quickly and vary by location, so you may find different rates and terms for your area — or hopefully Wells Fargo will raise their rates soon! So, be sure to check the Wells Fargo online banking site to check out the rates and terms available in your town.

Bank of America is the largest commercial bank in the United States. So, we thought we would check out Bank of America’s CD interest rates to see how they compare to the competition.

E-Loan is an online financial services provider that advertises its high yield savings accounts and high interest rate CDs, so those of us here at CD Interest Rates Info wanted to check out E-Loan CD rates to see what kind of interest rates they are currently offering. We were very pleased with he results of our research.

E-Loan 1 Year CD: This certificate of deposit earns an interest rate of 4.27 percent and an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 4.36 percent, for CDs with a minimum investment of $10,000.

E-Loan 5 Year CD: This CD earns an interest rate of 5.02 percent and an APY of 5.15 percent, for E-Loan certificates of deposit with a minimum investment of $10,000. Also, for a 5 Year E-Loan Jumbo CD (over $100,000 minimum deposit) you will get an interest rate of 5.12 percent and an APY of 5.25 percent.

E-Loan 6 Year CD: This certificate returns an interest rate of 5.12 percent and an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 5.25 percent, for CDs with a minimum investment of $10,000. The 6 Year E-Loan Jumbo CD (again, over $100,000 minimum investment) you will get an interest rate of 5.21 percent and an APY of 5.35 percent.

We found that E-Loan also has some competitive interest rates for certificates of deposit of other term lengths, including short term CDs with terms of 6 or 9 month. So, it seems well worth your time to review the current CD rates at E-Loan. Interest rates can change rapidly, so please do be sure to see the E-Loan online banking web site to view the most recent information.

GMAC Bank is a part of the GMAC Financial Services family, and truly is a global financial institution. CD Interest Rates Info decided to review GMAC Bank CD rates and see if they had any interesting CD interest rates. Luckily, we did find several CD rates at GMAC Bank that are worth considering.

The GMAC Bank 1 year CD provides an interest rate of 4.26 precent, and an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 4.35 percent. The minimum deposit for this GMAC bank CD is only $500.

The GMAC Bank 3 year CD had an interest rate of 4.40 percent, and an Annual Percentage Yield of 4.50 percent. This CD also requires a minimum GMAC investment (or minimum deposit) of $500.

The GMAC Bank 5 year CD has an interest rate of 4.88 percent, and an Annual Percentage Yield of 5.00 percent. These days, a CD that earns over five percent ranks among the best CD interest rates that we usually find in today’s market. Again, a $500 minimum investment is required for this certificate of deposit.

These GMAC CD interest rates seem pretty interesting to us. Please note that interest rates and other CD provisions can vary with time and differ by region, so please confirm the current rates and other provisions available in your town by checking with GMAC online.

Overview of CD Interest Rates Info

Post from: CD Interest Rates Info

With real estate market fluctuations and uncertainty in the stock market, it makes sense for people to start thinking about certificates of deposit as a more stable place to place some of their investment money. However, with so many bank CD rates to choose from, those of us here at CD Interest Rates Info thought it would be good to establish this site to assist you in finding some of the best CD rates available.

There are many factors to consider when searching for great CD rates:

The Term: The CD term is the length of time that your money is required to stay in the certificate of deposit. This is important, as many bank CDs will charge you an early withdrawal penalty if you withdraw money from your CD before the end of the term.

The Minimum Deposit: The minimum deposit is the smallest amount of money that you can have to open the certificate of deposit. These typically range from $500 to $100,000. Often times, CDs with a high minimum deposits will also have high CD interest rates.

The CD Interest Rate: This is where many people focus when comparing CD rates, and it is certainly important. This tells you the amount of money that the bank will pay you for depositing your money into the CD account.

FDIC Insured: One of the biggest selling points for the stability of CDs in the United States is that most of them under $100,000 are insured by the FDIC. However, you will want to confirm that with the bank before depositing your money with them.

We will be reviewing CD rates in locations all across the U.S.A. to help you find the best CD interest rates. Please visit the site often, as we will be updating periodically.
