Jumbo CD Rates Update

Post from: CD Interest Rates Info

Here at CD Interest Rates Info, we try to keep you up to date on what’s going on with the latest in top CD interest rates. When we last looked at Jumbo CD interest rates, they were holding steady at a good pace. Now it’s time for an update and (hopefully) some good news.

1 Year Term Jumbo CD Rates
For this term, Umbrella Bank has a 2.10% APY offer. MetLife Bank has a 2.00% APY and State Bank of India (NY) has a 1.96% APY. Discover Bank, AIG Bank, and Ally Bank all have a 1.90% APY offer as well.

3 Year Term Jumbo Certificate of Deposit Rates
For this term, Flagstar Direct has a 2.97% APY and First Internet Bank of Indiana has a 2.65% APY. State Bank of India (NY) has a 2.63% while Discover Bank has a 2.60% APY offer. USAA, Ally Bank, and Aurora Bank all have a 2.55% APY offer as well.

5 Year Term Jumbo CD Interest Rates
For this popular long term, the top CD interest rates are at State Bank of India (NY) with a 3.39% APY, but Discover Bank isn’t far behind with a 3.35% APY. First Internet Bank of Indiana has a 3.30% APY and Intervest National Bank has a 3.27% APY. OneWest Bank has a 3.20% APY as does E-Loan.

There are definitely a lot of great Jumbo CD rates to look at now. All banks listed are FDIC insured. Remember that the FDIC insures up to $250,000 in deposits until January 1, 2013. So if your Jumbo certificate of deposit rates expire before then, they are fully covered up to that dollar figure.

It’s time to get up-to-date on the latest in jumbo CD interest rates, so we here at CD Interest Rates Info have done some homework and found the latest information for you. As usual, we’ll rank our finds by annual percentage yield (APY) and we’ll look at the most popular jumbo certificate of deposit rates terms (1-5 years).

1 Year Term Jumbo CD Rates
The best rates for this term are at Discover Bank and Ally Bank (formerly GMAC), both with a 2.30% APY. Not far behind are OneWest (CA), Excel National Bank, and UmbrellaBank.com at 2.25% APY. Finally, AIG has a 2.21% APY for this term.

2 Year Term Jumbo CD Interest Rates
For this term, the top CD interest rates are at Discover Bank with a 2.65% APY followed by Intervest National Bank (NY) at 2.50% APY. Then comes E-Loan at 2.47% APY and AIG Bank at 2.46% APY.

3 Year Term Jumbo CD Rates
For jumbo certificate of deposit rates in this term, the top bank is again Discover at 3.05% APY followed by AIG at 2.96% APY with Ally Bank close behind at 2.95% APY.

4 Year Term Jumbo CD Interest Rates
Intervest National Bank grabs the lead at 3.55% APY for top CD interest rates in this term. Discover comes next at 3.20% APY and Luana Savings (IA) is at 3.07% APY followed closely by OneWest at 3.05% APY.

5 Year Term Jumbo CD Rates
For jumbo certificate of deposit rates in this term, the competition is as fierce as the 1 year term. On top is OneWest Bank and Third Federal Savings and Loan (OH) at 3.65% APY. Close behind that is Intervest National at 3.62% APY and then Discover, Ally, E-Loan, and Waterfield Bank (MD) at 3.50% APY.

As you can see, the top CD interest rates for jumbo CD rates are pretty competitive in most terms. All banks listed here are FDIC insured. Rates change quickly, so if you see jumbo CD interest rates that you like, grab them now before they change.

Although many people are familiar with Nationwide insurance, people often do not realize that Nationwide offers more than insurance — in fact, Nationwide is one of the largest financial services and insurance companies on earth. We decided to look at Nationwide Bank CD rates to see if they deserve a place amongst the highest CD interest rates. We have some good news to report.

When reviewing Nationwide CD rates, one certificate of deposit that immediately got our attention was the Nationwide 12 month CD. That CD is currently being offered with an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 3.50 percent, and the minimum deposit is only $500. If you are interested in jumbo CD rates, with a minimum deposit of $100,000 the Nationwide 1 year CD earns an APY of 3.55 percent.

Nation-wide CD rates for longer term CDs were also interesting. Nationwide CDs with terms of 24 months, 36 months, 48 months and 60 months are all currently being offered with an APY of 3.60 percent for a minimum deposit of $500, and Nationwide Jumbo CDs for those same term lengths are currently offered with an APY of 3.65 percent.

So, in our opinion it certainly seems worth your while to check out Nationwide Bank CD rates. Be sure to see the Nationwide online banking web site for the up-to-date rates and terms available, as these can change frequently.

E-Loan CD Rates

Post from: CD Interest Rates Info

E-Loan is an online financial services provider that advertises its high yield savings accounts and high interest rate CDs, so those of us here at CD Interest Rates Info wanted to check out E-Loan CD rates to see what kind of interest rates they are currently offering. We were very pleased with he results of our research.

E-Loan 1 Year CD: This certificate of deposit earns an interest rate of 4.27 percent and an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 4.36 percent, for CDs with a minimum investment of $10,000.

E-Loan 5 Year CD: This CD earns an interest rate of 5.02 percent and an APY of 5.15 percent, for E-Loan certificates of deposit with a minimum investment of $10,000. Also, for a 5 Year E-Loan Jumbo CD (over $100,000 minimum deposit) you will get an interest rate of 5.12 percent and an APY of 5.25 percent.

E-Loan 6 Year CD: This certificate returns an interest rate of 5.12 percent and an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 5.25 percent, for CDs with a minimum investment of $10,000. The 6 Year E-Loan Jumbo CD (again, over $100,000 minimum investment) you will get an interest rate of 5.21 percent and an APY of 5.35 percent.

We found that E-Loan also has some competitive interest rates for certificates of deposit of other term lengths, including short term CDs with terms of 6 or 9 month. So, it seems well worth your time to review the current CD rates at E-Loan. Interest rates can change rapidly, so please do be sure to see the E-Loan online banking web site to view the most recent information.
